Quick verdict
Shiny Smile Veneers is a real company that ships a real product, but read the refund terms before you buy. Shiny Smile Veneers LLC has been in business in Texas since 2018. It makes removable, custom-fit snap-on veneers from impressions you take at home. Plenty of buyers love the result, and it costs a small fraction of dentist-made veneers.
The problem is the gap between the ads and the fine print. The sales page promises a “60-Day Money-Back Guarantee” and says it will “return your money, no questions asked.” The company’s written terms say it does not accept refunds after 14 days from your order, and its 60-day guarantee deducts a $90 fee plus kit costs and only applies after 60 days of wearing veneers that fit. The Better Business Bureau rates the company D+ with 262 complaints.
Pros
- ✓ Custom-made from your own impressions, not one-size-fits-all
- ✓ Costs hundreds of dollars, not thousands like porcelain veneers
- ✓ Removable, with no drilling or glue
- ✓ Up to 3 free remakes if the fit is off
- ✓ 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects
- ✓ Free shipping in the U.S. and Canada
Cons
- ✗ Refunds end 14 days after you order, even though the ads say 60 days
- ✗ Refunds after you open the kit lose a $90 fee plus $22 per impression kit
- ✗ BBB rating D+ with 262 complaints and a “Pattern of Complaints” alert
- ✗ Most complaints are about rejected impressions and denied refunds
- ✗ Takes about 3 to 5 weeks after your impressions are approved
- ✗ Can trap food and hide decay; long-term research on snap-ons is limited

What are Shiny Smile Veneers?
They are thin, tooth-colored shells made of dental resin that snap over your real teeth to cover gaps, stains, chips or missing teeth. You take them out to sleep and to clean them. They do not change your natural teeth, so the moment you take them out, your smile is back to how it was.

They come in three shades: Bright White, Pearl and Champagne. The offer includes the veneers, an impression kit, a mirrored case, cleaning tablets and a cleaning brush. The company says its resin is “FDA-approved” but does not name the material, and we could not verify that claim.
How it works
- You order and the company mails you an impression kit.
- You make impressions of your teeth at home and email two photos of your smile. Free video-chat help is offered.
- You mail the impressions back in the prepaid package (U.S. only; Canadian and European buyers pay their own return postage).
- The lab checks your impressions. If they are not good enough, you redo them, and extra kits cost $22 each.
- Your veneers arrive about 3 to 5 weeks after your impressions are approved, or about 2 weeks with the $150 express option.
Expect an adjustment period. The company says speech usually feels normal within 2 to 4 weeks, and that pressure, a slight lisp, teeth feeling bigger or saliva under the veneers are “normal” and not grounds for a refund.
How much do Shiny Smile Veneers cost?
| Option | Price on 2026-10-30 | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One arch (top or bottom), offer page | $269.99 | Listed against a $499.99 “retail” price |
| Top and bottom, offer page | $469.99 | Listed against $799.99 “retail” |
| One arch, brand’s own website | $370 | One-time payment |
| Top and bottom, brand’s own website | $570 | One-time payment |
| Express order | +$150 | About 2 weeks instead of 3 to 5 |
| Extended warranty | +$100 | Covers accidental damage or loss, 3 remakes, extra 15 months |
| Extra impression kit | $22 each | The first kit is included |
The partner offer page was about $100 cheaper than the brand’s own site for a full set when we checked. A “$29 a month” payment plan is also advertised. Read those terms closely: the company says missed payments are reported to credit bureaus after 7 days, and that disputing a charge is reported too.
The refund fine print
This is the most important part of this review. Here is what the company’s written terms and refund policy say, compared with the ads:
| What the sales page says | What the written terms say |
|---|---|
| “60-Day Money-Back Guarantee” | “ShinySmile Veneers does not accept refunds after 14 days from the date of the order.” |
| “Return your money, no questions asked” | Within 14 days, an opened kit is refunded minus a $90 processing fee, $22 per impression kit and $15 per supplies kit. You pay return shipping. |
| “100% Satisfaction Guaranteed” | Finished veneers are custom, so there are “no returns or refund.” You get up to 3 free remakes instead. |
| “60 Day Trial” | The 60-day guarantee only applies if you received veneers that fit, wore them at least 60 days and still dislike how they look. It excludes fit problems and breakage, and still deducts the $90 fee and kit costs. |
Failed impressions are your responsibility and are not grounds for a refund. Disputes go to binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas. If you are not sure snap-on veneers are for you, decide within the first 14 days.
Is Shiny Smile Veneers legit, or a scam?
It is legit in the sense that it is a real business that delivers a real product. Shiny Smile Veneers LLC is based at 12 Greenway Plaza in Houston, with a second location in Richardson, Texas. The BBB lists its start date as September 2018.
But the BBB gives it a D+ rating, is not accrediting it, and shows a “Pattern of Complaints” alert: 262 complaints in 3 years, 202 of them in the last 12 months, with only 43 marked resolved. The sales page says the company was “founded and operated by a top-rated dentist” called “Dr. Dean,” but we could not find his full name or license.
What real buyers say
Ratings depend heavily on where you look. On Trustpilot the company scores 4.6 out of 5 from about 2,900 reviews, but Trustpilot labels it as a company that invites customers to review. On the BBB, where reviews are not invited, customers average 2.65 out of 5 from 154 reviews.
What buyers like: a natural look and comfortable fit when the impressions work, patient help with impressions, a big confidence boost, and the low price compared with a dentist.
What buyers complain about: impressions rejected again and again (the most common complaint), refunds denied because the 14-day window had passed or only partly refunded, slow replies from support, long waits, and veneers that cracked, looked fake or did not match.
Are snap-on veneers safe for your teeth?
Snap-on veneers are cosmetic and temporary, and there is little research on wearing them long term. Dental sources point to a few real risks:
- They can trap food and plaque against your teeth, which raises the risk of cavities and gum disease.
- They can hide problems like decay or gum disease that need treatment.
- A poor fit can irritate your gums or put pressure on teeth.
- The company’s own terms list risks including chipped, loosened or lost teeth during impressions or removal, and say buyers release it from liability.
The company says not to take impressions if you have bleeding gums, gum disease, loose teeth or crowns, badly decayed teeth or heavy tartar, and to see a dentist first. That is good advice even if your teeth seem healthy.
Who should buy them, and who should skip them
Worth considering if: your teeth and gums are healthy, you want a removable cosmetic fix for photos, events or everyday confidence, you are comfortable doing careful impressions at home, and you understand you must decide on a refund within 14 days.
Skip them if: you have gum disease, decay or loose teeth, you need a cash refund option later than 2 weeks, or you want a permanent fix. A dentist is the better route for that.
Alternatives
- TruSmile Veneers: $499 one-time for a set on its official site, with 1 free remake and a 2-year manufacturing guarantee.
- Pop On Veneers: roughly $299 to $499 per arch or $479 to $699 for a full set, depending on promotions (third-party reports).
- Snap-On Smile through a dentist: roughly $500 to $1,200 per arch, fitted and checked by a dentist in person.
- Composite or porcelain veneers: permanent and dentist-made, but they cost thousands of dollars.
